Which should I give to my girlfriend for Valentines day?

Ok so my girlfriend moved away not to long ago to a different state. Instead of breaking up we decided to just get into a long distance relationship since both of us don't have to long until we turn 18 and can move in with each other.

Well my dilemma is what I should send her for Valentines day?

I had two options set for myself:

1.) Just call a florist in her town and have a dozen roses, a V-day card, chocolates, and a stuffed animal delivered to her house (or her school preferably, but I don't know if the florist will do it). This would be the more expensive option XD.

2.) Or I was thinking of sending her my favorite jacket (I think it's romantic) along with a couple metal roses I made in metal shop at school, a hand written poem, and a stuffed animal. This would be the inexpensive option seeing as I don't really have to buy anything except the stuffed animal :P.

So in your opinions, which one should I send? OR FEEL FREE TO SUGGEST YOUR OWN IDEAS!! Thanks..

Which should I give to my girlfriend for Valentines day?
Definitely #2. It's so much more personal and thoughtful, and, as you said, romantic. The fact that it's less expensive is just a bonus :)
Reply:I would much rather get your second choice..(the inexpensive one!) It's much more well-thought out and original. Good idea, by the way.
Reply:Go with number 2 without the jacket, but include a nice picture of yourself and add some nice chocolates. The roses and the poem are a good idea, and the chocolates and stuffed animal are a nice touch. Or instead of the stuffed animal, you could buy a nice photo frame and put a picture of you and her in it. Good luck.
Reply:Um, do number 1, not many females like your old dirty laundry, unless she's in to sentimental stuff, and she's 18 so I doubt it. Material would probably be the way to go, so number one. (I'm 27 by the way)

Good luck.
Reply:i like the second option better! especially if you spray her favorite cologne on your jacket....

and for the stuffed animal - maybe one from build-a-bear?
Reply:i was in a long distance relationship when i was your age and i know how hard it can be. a great idea, that doesnt cost much at all is a love journal.

you purchase a journal, a pen, some stamps, some shipping envelopes that will fit the journal, and a small box to send it all in.

what you do is send the above items out to her, with a note on the first page telling her how much you miss her and why you sent this journal - so you can keep in touch and keep a record of this special time in your relationship.

you guys take turns with the journal, you decide how long each of you will keep it - a month, a week, a couple weeks. While its your turn with the journal, take pictures, draw little doodles, write love poems, write letters, just spend a couple minutes each day spending time connecting with her even though she's not there. then at the end of the given time frame, pop it in an envelope, put some stamps on it and send it to her. now its her turn!

its great for a few reasons - it proves how often you guys think of each other, it makes you closer even though there are miles between you, and it gives you something to look forward to! in regular relationships, we get to look forward to dates but its different for you two, and this evokes simular feelings.

and of course, your favorite jacket sprayed with a little of your favorite cologne is an extra special, personal touch that any girl would love and cherish, and makes you that much closer!

it doesnt take a lot of money for a romantic gift, all it takes a little heart. and this will be much more memorable than any store bought gift.
Reply:simple is nice and the best is dinner at night and make her feel special with you doing all the work and her relaxing she will enjoy seeing that you care so much about her
Reply:The second idea sounds good. It is more sentimental. (♥)
