Looking for pink silk calla lilies for bridesmaid bouquets in wpg. less than $5/stem. any suggestions?

I have tried florists, and Michael's Craft Shop, but so expensive, need about 60 of them, any ideas how to find them cheaper would be greatly appreciated.

I personally would reconsider the whole silk flowers to begin with. I have always thought that a small nosegay of maybe 3 calla lillies is always prettier. Fresh is always better than silk and sometimes actually more cost effective. I would try online floral wholesalers. If you have a friend or family member that owns a business you can get them to order the flowers using their tax id number from most wholesale companies.
Reply:Have you tried ebay??? Outside of that, you may have to go with something that's less expensive, and a different flower. Good luck!

Reply:Kackaway, I don't know where you're based, but if you're in the SoCal area, you might try Moscatel's in downtown L.A. They're listed as a Michael's Crafts in the yahoo yellow pages but they're still Moscatels and their prices are better. It's right next to the Los Angeles Flower Mart (another fantastic resource but you've gotta get there EARLY and I think they only do fresh flowers). It might be worth talking to the people there because they're wholesalers and might be able to help.





Another possibility might be checking out Olvera Street (again in downtown LA) as they often have beautifully crafted paper flowers and calla lillies are quite popular in Mexican art.





If you're not in LA, try http://afloral.com. They have pretty phenomenal prices on silk and plastic flowers and a pretty wide variety of calla lillies. I found them by googling "discount silk flowers."
Reply:Honestly, being that I own my own bridal business, you really aren't saving yourself any money by going silk. I would shop around some more, p[ossibly on Craigs list or something for a better option.
