Anyone married in cyprus?
http://www.cyprusyellowpages.com/ypages/...

I got married in Cyprus ten years ago, but sadly not in Paphos. If you go to the Cyprus yellow pages they have a link to a wedding guide that might help.

We did buy a birthday cake 2 years ago from a bakery chain called Zorbas. They do make the loveliest cakes, but surprisingly the custom made cakes are no cheaper than from a UK bakery.

There are lots of wedding photographers in Cyprus, we usually go to Larnaca and there are about 4 in a 50 yard stretch. Photos are much cheaper than the UK, although whether they will 'up' their prices for foreigners I'm not sure. We paid per photo that we bought, and they were just £1.50CY each. We got 2 huge albums full, I think about 150 photos in all for much less than the UK. Expect some increase on that, but still should be good value.

If you are going with a travel firm that organises weddings you might find it a lot less hassle to sort it all out via them.

Tip: don't rely on their flower colours, I asked for a small bouquet of cream flowers and got peach. Luckily my mum had taken my back-up bouquet of silk flowers, although she had some questions to answer at the airport security as it looked like a bomb (all wires) on the X-ray!

Good luck, and enjoy your day/holiday.
Reply:I don't really have any advice....I just marked your question so I can see answers too. We got engaged in Paphos. We are getting married in the states, but will probably have another reception somewhere in Cyprus next spring, as all of his family and lots of friends live there. I agree with another posting, Zorba's is an excellent bakery!!!! I had lots of ridiculously good sweets there. We also know someone in Nicosia that makes fantastic cakes, but that is prob too far for your reception.

Good luck with everything!!!!

Do you have a reception venue? Just curious.
Reply:There are are a lot of married people in Cyprus.
