One day a florist went to a barber for a haircut. After the cut he asked about his bill and the barber replied: "I'm sorry, I cannot accept money from you; I'm doing community service this week." The florist was pleased and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open, there was a thank you card and a dozen roses waiting for him at his door.





Later, a cop came in for a haircut and, when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied: "I'm sorry, I cannot accept money; I'm doing community service this week." This is real- I work at a couple of different shelters, I cook. All of the volunteers I work with are Christan Conservatives all of the PAID administrative people are Democrats ("Liberals"). The shelters get funding from local, state agencies but a lot of their funding comes from Churches and the private sector. Do you want to guess what kind of people in the private sector donate? That's right wealthy people (mostly Republican).

Reply:Nice joke :) I might even pass it along to some of the ladies and gentlemen at the nursing home I volunteer at during the week. Some of them are Republican, but I don't hold it against them. But most of my fellow volunteers are liberals and Democrats.
