How does one catch a frog?

About 10 minutes ago some coworkers discovered a frog about two inches big in a florist shop. Since everyone here is a little chicken I tried to catch it in a plastic liner from one of the plants on display. The frog is a sneaky little thing and evaded this trap and mad a mad dash for cover underneath a shelf stocked with many heavy vases.

Now I wouldn't be so concerned since I would love to see a customer scared out of their wits when they see our phantom frog one day but I was informed one of the workers at the florist saw this frog two days ago. I don't know how in the world a frog would survive this way but I would rather get it to a place we can keep an eye on it. After I do that I can decide what to do about it.

But first thing's first: How does one catch a frog?

How does one catch a frog?
Leave a bowl of water with a stone sitting in it. The stone needs to be slightly sticking out of the water. Frogs like to be near water with the possibilty of sitting slightly out of it. You could leave it near where you think the frog is, then when it appears, throw a net over it. Good luck!
Reply:Catch it in a jam jar then take it to a river or stream far far away from your shop.
Reply:Have someone shine a bright flashlight directly at it's eyes so it'll be confused. It will stay still.

You sneak behind it and trap a jar over it.

Method 2:

Shoot it to death with a rubber band!
Reply:Take one baboo cane put a loop of wire or better still use a wire coat hanger, make the loop out of the part you use to hang your cloths on, cover with a nylon stocking and tie off, straighten the handell and push into the bamboo cane.

With this you can then fish about under the stock shelf's.
Reply:Frogs are pretty easy to catch. This one most probably is a prince. If you a princess and you kissed him, his true form will emerge. You never know.
Reply:Difficult now that land mines have been banned. A grenade inside a kermit doll is worth a try, or an RPG might work. However, this is not really catching it in one piece, so you could try covering the floor with glue
Reply:Everyone is a little chicken, you say? Hm. You've

got a problem on your... claws, all right.

I can't say I've ever seen a chicken catch a frog --

but, I've heard that chickens can be trained to do

some very clever tricks!

It's a good thing everyone in your office is not an

old dog. You can't teach an old dogs new tricks,

you know.

Well, good luck.
Reply:you have to jump to it before the frog hops it.lol
Reply:Unless you live in a bog, you cannot keep a frog. They don't live too long even where they are supposed to be.
Reply:Grab a hold of it.
Reply:Those kind of little frogs usually have pretty long legs, which means they can jump far, fast! With bigger, heavier ones I'd just sneak up behind them and as someone said, grab gently but firmly around the body and legs. (Hold it away from you as sometimes they pee on you in fright!)

But with a littler one, once yu get it somewhere you can see it, use a tea-towel/thin piece of cloth, fling it over it and then lift it up in the towel and take it outside.

If you can't see it you need to gradually move stuff until you can! Create an opening for it to move to and chivvy it from behind. Then when it is out - fling the cloth!

Good luck!
Reply:that flashlight idea is really funny! It's not an opossum or a deer! Why dont you make a little feature of it? Let it stay in the shop. Build a little pond for it and it can live there and enjoy the environment with you. Customers will begin to like it! Maybe in the future the shop name will change to 'kissed by a frog flowers' and become really famous.. you will be rich.
Reply:Uhh. if your not afraid to use your hands use your hands. get behind it and cup your hands around fast but not hard and just keep doing it till you catch it. I love frogs and lizzards and catch them all the time. i got a gulfcoast toad in my backyard and kept it as a pet. I am a frog expert (well its not like my perfession or any thing but i know a lot about them and how to catch them.
